Village of Newtown Police Department wants to remind you that the 3rd annual Newtown Winterfest is happening on Saturday December 12th from 4pm until 9pm.
The third annual Winterfest comes to the village Saturday, Dec. 12, bringing holiday cheer, gift ideas for the whole family, and plenty of food. The event, sponsored by the Newtown Business Association, will feature more than 30 vendors offering handcrafted items, six village restaurants open for business along Church Street, horse and carriage rides, Christmas caroling and hayrides for families hoping to see some of the holiday lights on the local homes.
Along with the hayrides, food and "Elf Land," where children can buy gifts for their families, there will also be stations set up for children to get their face painted and decorate cookies and ornaments.
Church Street between Center Street and State Route 32 will be closed from 3:30pm until 9:30pm during this event.
