Hot Prowl Residential Burglary - Newport Ridge North Association

On October 14, 2010, at 3:50 am, a resident on Harcourt within the Newport Ridge North Maintenance Association, awoke to a male suspect standing next to his bed. The victim asked the suspect who he was and the suspect casually turned and walked out of the room and down the hall. The victim called 9-1-1. Police responded, but were unable to locate the suspect described as a male, Caucasian, approximately 30 years of age, 6’ tall, 200 pounds, with dark hair. The suspect was wearing a course (possibly dark green) sweater, dark jeans and heavy leather boots. A similar incident occurred on September 30, 2010, between 4:00 am - 4:40 am, when a resident again on Harcourt awoke to a man standing near her husband’s nightstand, next to the bed. The victim sat up and asked the suspect what he was doing? The suspect calmly and slowly walked past the foot of the bed and out the bedroom door. The victim woke her husband who searched the house. The husband found nothing disturbed and thought that his wife may have just had a dream, so they went back to sleep. The following day the victim discovered his -iPhone missing from the nightstand beside his bed and called police.
