Washington Township Police Department is alerting residents to a suspicious individual that has been in the area.

On 11/3 at approximately 4:00 PM in the area of 13081 Welty Road two male juveniles were approached by a suspicious individual after getting off the school bus. The suspicious male attempted to get personal information from the juveniles and attempted to enter one juveniles residence.

The suspicious individual is described as a white male, gray curly medium length hair, and a gray short cut beard. He was wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, brown work boots, and a ball cap. He was seen leaving the area in a blue or turquoise mini van with at least one female passenger.

Residents are advised to be alert to any suspicious individuals in the area and make sure your children know what to do when they are approached by a stranger.

Anyone with information on the incident or the individual involved is asked to call WTPD at 762-1447 or 762-1145. If you witness suspicious activity or individuals please call 911.
