RPD responded to Hannaford on North Main Street for a reported theft of a purse from a shopping cart

On October 30, 2010 at about 5:45pm, Rochester Police responded to Hannaford on North Main Street for a reported theft of a purse from a shopping cart. The unidentified male, captured by surveillance, took the purse from an elderly female. The male left in a dark colored Ford Taurus. The same day officers responded to a similar incident in the area of the Lilac Mall that is believed to be linked.

Anyone with information on these incidents or can identify the suspect, are encouraged to contact Officer Kusnierz at the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128 or the Rochester Crime Line at 335-6500.

With the holiday season approaching the Rochester Police Department encourages all citizens to lock their vehicles, keep valuables out of sight and don’t leave valuables unattended in shopping carts.
