The Drug Enforcement Administration, Philadelphia Division, reports that the initiative, a cooperative effort between DEA, local law enforcement and the public, made it possible to collect and destroy more than three (3) tons of controlled as well as non-controlled substances from citizens of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Delaware.
The substances were properly disposed of through incineration in accordance with state environmental regulations in order to keep America "Green".
The Washington Township Police Department would like to thank publicly those medical facilities, businesses, communitiy orgainizations and citizens who participated in the initiative and made it such a great success!
