The Readington Township Police are investigating a suspicious incident that occurred on Rockafellow Mills Road during the afternoon hours on Saturday 10/16/2010. A group of three children, age 8-10 years old, were playing in their yard near the roadway when they were approached by two people in a gold Honda sedan. A female was driving and a male was the passenger. When the car stopped the passenger confronted one of the children. The children ran from the area and later reported the incident to an adult family member.

The driver was described as a white female in her fifties with long brown hair. The passenger was described as a heavyset male in his fifties with a grey beard and shoulder length brown, greying hair. There is no further description.

At this time we do not have any information that the individual’s actions were criminal in nature. This alert is to inform parents of the incident and for any information that witnesses may have.
