Investigation reveals Sunday morning homicide
Just after 2 a.m. Sunday morning officers in the Third Precinct responded to a residence in the 3000 block of 18th Avenue South on a report of a deceased person. When officers arrived they found the body of an adult male in his twenties who had been discovered inside the residence by a roommate.
At the time officers noted suspicious circumstances and the case was then investigated by the Minneapolis Police Homicide Unit. Later in the day homicide investigators arrested Adam Lee Sterling (Date of birth 4-07-1987) at City Hall for PC Murder. Sterling is currently in the Hennepin County Jail.
This case will be presented to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office for consideration of criminal charges.
The suspect’s booking photo is not available due to investigative reasons.
The identity of the victim and his cause of death will be released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office.
