Burglary occurred on 10/8, sometime between 5:45 am – 3:50 pm, in the 5400 block of Brookfield Dr:
Resident came home and noticed the front door was broken into; several items missing throughout the residence.

Please remind residents to report any suspicious activity or individuals to the Police Non-emergency number (385-5000). Burglars will typically target a house that looks unoccupied during the day, and will often knock on the door before breaking in to see if anyone is home. If you notice anyone canvassing the area, knocking on doors to obviously unoccupied residences and/or walking around to the rear of a home, please call Police immediately. Make sure that all windows and doors are securely locked when you are leaving your home. If you will be out of town, have a trusted neighbor look after your home and bring in any newpapers, fliers, or other items that are left on your doorstep so that your home does not appear vacant. Take it a step further and have your neighbor park their car in your driveway while you’re gone so that it looks like someone is home.
