Toyota U.S. Open triathlon in Rockwall on Sunday. Traffic will be affected at many major intersections. 
Rockwall police will monitor and control traffic at many major intersections and streets throughout the city on Sunday, October 10 from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. during the Toyota U.S. Open Triathlon.
More than 1,000 professional, amateur and novice athletes will descend on Rockwall to participate in the event that begins at The Harbor. The Triathlon is a combination of swimming, running and bicycling.
Aided by the Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office and Heath Police Department, areas monitored by the officers will include Summer Lee Drive, Horizon Road, Ridge Road, Yellowjacket Lane, Goliad Street and John King Boulevard.
