National Night Out Wrap-up report

The City of North Richland Hills celebrates a big success with National Night Out! On October 5, 2010, city officials, along with members of the North Richland Hills Police and Fire Departments, Police Volunteers, as well as special guests including representatives from the Tarrant County District Attorney’s office, the Target Corporation, and the department’s crime victim’s liaison spanned out across North Richland Hills to join with members of the community to stand against crime.

This year marks the 27th annual National Night Out Event, encompassing millions of citizens from over 15,000 different communities nationwide. A total of 19 events were held throughout the city by crime watch groups in an effort to strengthen police/community partnerships, increase crime prevention awareness, and send a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and vigilant. The City of NRH wants to express its appreciation to all the citizens taking an active part in their community and we look forward to this continued partnership year round.

The North Richland Hills Police Department has opportunities for you to get involved by attending the Citizens Police Academy, as well as taking an active role in The Neighborhood Crime Watch Program or becoming a Police Volunteer.
