NARRATIVE:
On Saturday morning at 1:15 a.m., Walnut Creek Police dispatch received reports of several people fighting in front of Vice Ultra Lounge. Two suspects fled the scene as officers arrived. Two victims with minor facial injuries were located on Arroyo Way near Broadway. One suspect ran from officers but was apprehended after a short foot chase. As officers were investigating this incident a much larger fight broke out inside of Vice at 1:35 a.m. The fight involved 30-35 people both inside and outside the nightclub. All available officers were dispatched to assist in breaking up the fight. Numerous subjects fled the scene as officers were attempting to stop multiple fights inside the bar and in the surrounding parking lots. The two subjects listed above were arrested for fighting in public and public intoxication during this incident. Several subjects were injured but they left prior to receiving medical treatment at the scene. An unknown driver also struck a parked police car during this incident and fled the scene.

CRIME: PC 243(d) Battery with Serious Bodily Injury, PC 415 Fighting in Public, PC 647(f) Public Intoxication
LOCATION: 1523 Giammona Drive (Shiro Lounge), Walnut Creek
DATE: 10/2/10
TIME: 1:41 AM
CASE NUMBERS: 10-28675 and 10-28676

SUSPECTS: 4-5 black male adults in their mid 20’s driving a 4-door black Honda
ARRESTED: Khang Duong, 1/14/86, Resident of Hercules

NARRATIVE:
On Saturday morning at approximately 1:40 a.m., a fight involving 8-10 subjects broke out in front of Shiro Lounge (Giammona Drive and Main Street). This location is across the street from the Police Department but no officers were available to respond due to a fight at Vice that all available officers were occupied with. Several minutes after the fight officers responded and found one victim in front of Shiro with head injuries. This victim was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The subject listed above (DUONG) was fighting with a member of the Shiro security staff when officers arrived. He was arrested for fighting in public. Several other involved parties with minor injuries were interviewed at the scene. 4 or 5 occupants of a black Honda (see Suspect Description above) were identified as the individuals that beat the victim that was transported to the hospital. The car and the suspects fled prior to officers arriving on scene.

It was also discovered that the fight was recorded using an Iphone. The video shows the suspects punching and kicking the victim multiple times while he is on the ground. The video does not however offer a complete picture of what occurred just prior to the fight.

The Walnut Creek Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding any of the fights listed above to contact the Police Department at (925) 943-5844. Please reference a case number or location of the incident you may have information about. We are particularly interested in indentifying the 4-5 suspects seen fighting in the video that flee in the black Honda.
