Police Activity Yesterday in area of Danbury Lane, Ridgmont and Anita Robbery Last Night on Kenosha

Incident:

Undercover units from Roseville, Shelby Twp and Michigan State Police were involved in the pursuit of a subject on a narcotics charge. The pursuit terminated in the vehicle rolling over on W/B I94 near 8 mile road. The subject fled from the vehicle and a yard to yard search was conducted by all of the units involved. The subject was captured in the area of Danbury Park.

During the foot pursuit an officer from one of the assisting police agencies reported an accidental discharge of his service pistol reporting that two shots had fired. Officers located the area that the shots terminated in and there were no injuries to any citizens, perpetrator or officers.

Notification of Robbery in area of 18900 Kenosha

Incident:

A 62 year old resident of Kenosha was robbed at gunpoint in his driveway. The victim fought with his attackers and received minor injuries from the confrontation. The perpetrators were able to get the victims wallet and fled west on Kenosha in a dark unknown make vehicle. The perpetrators were described as B/M’s 18 to 20 years old. One was described as short wearing dark clothes and the other was described as short and thin wearing a yellow plaid shirt. Both subjects are still at large.

One of the Harper Woods police vehicles was badly damaged in a vehicle accident after clearing the robbery report and while responding to the shooting incident when a vehicle failed to yield on Kelly Road. The driver of the vehicle causing the accident received non life threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital. The Harper Woods police officer involved was not injured in the incident.
