READING AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY

DRAFT BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN TRANSPORTATION PLAN

The Reading Area Transportation Study (RATS) Metropolitan Planning
Organization (MPO) has prepared the Draft Bicycle and Pedestrian
Transportation Plan for Berks County. This proposed document
addresses walking and bicycling as vital non-motorized elements of the
transportation system in Berks County. This announcement is designed
to give citizens, local governments and interested organizations an
opportunity to comment on the Draft Plan.

Two (2) Public Meetings to take comments on the Draft Plan will be held:
Wednesday, October 20, 2010
4:00 p.m.
Berks County Planning Commission Conference Room
633 Court Street, 14th Floor, Reading, PA 19601

Tuesday, October 26, 2010
7:00 p.m.
Spring Township Administration Building
2850 Windmill Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608

A copy of the Draft Plan is available for public review on the Berks
County Planning Commission’s web page at www.co.berks.pa.us/planning
and at the following locations:

Copies of the plan are also available at all public and university
libraries in Berks County. The Plan will be made available again at
these same locations following approval.

Comments will be accepted through the close of business on Friday,
October 29, 2010.
