The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will once again assist in hosting the 11th Annual "Lupus Race For Life" 5K and 1K Run/Walk. This event will take place on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at La Mirada Community Regional Park, 13701 South Adelfa Drive, La Mirada.

This race is open to all participants and is supported by local law enforcement agencies. Registration to participate is available on line at: www.lupusinternational.com or you can register the day of the race. Registration begins at 6:30 a.m., with the race commencing at 7:45 a.m.

Trophies will be given to teams and organizations (according to size) with the most participants, and the first law enforcement officer and firefighter to cross the finish line. Immediately following the race, all runners will receive a pancake breakfast, refreshments, a t-shirt, and participant bag. There will be informational vendor booths and trophy awards as well.
