Missing 17 year-old Jennifer Nicole Taylor was found safe last night, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

Taylor was located in Leesburg, Alabama, at approximately 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening. She went missing on Tuesday, September 14th, at approximately 10:00 p.m., where she was last seen at Banks Parks on South 11th Street, Gadsden.

Family members called investigators and told them of Taylor’s location. Taylor apparently saw a news report about her disappearance and contacted her parents.

19 year-old Amber Dawn Maddox, of Odenville, has been arrested and charged in connection to the disappearance of Taylor.

“Maddox is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing governmental operations, both are misdemeanors,” states Investigator Shane Hartley.

A 16 year-old female, from Gadsden, has also been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing governmental operations. She is now in custody of Coosa Valley Detention Center in Anniston.

Maddox and the juvenile helped Taylor run away from home and provided her with transportation, shelter and food. Both individuals also gave false statements to investigators about having knowledge of the whereabouts of Taylor.

Taylor was interviewed last night by investigators and released into the custody of her parents.

Maddox is being held in the Etowah County Detention Center on $2,000 bond.
