www.HealthyCity.org – Find What You Need in Your Community
The Healthy City program (www.heathycity.org) uses cutting-edge Geographic Information System mapping software and the region's most comprehensive database of public and nonprofit resources (schools, parks, community centers, health clinics) to map and analyze the geographic dynamics of problems like school overcrowding, neighborhood violence, homelessness, or the allocation of public and private philanthropic funds.
www.HealthyCity.org is widely used by: community mobilizing and advocacy organizations, such as the Community Coalition Against Substance Abuse; local government agencies, such as the County's Department of Children and Family Services, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; Los Angeles Police Department and the City of Los Angeles Commission on Children, Youth and Families; local philanthropic organizations, including The California Endowment, California Community Foundation and the P-3 Public Private Partnership for Early Childhood, a consortium of 23 public agencies and private foundations.
