Full Notification

The Harper Woods Police Department responded to the Harper Woods High School this morning to assist with a search inside the school. Information received was that a gun was secured in a student's locker. Based on that information the school was placed in "Lock Down". Officer's assisted in the search and did locate and confiscate a handgun after a short time.

The subjects responsible were identified and were released pending further investigation.

At no time were any students or staff in danger due to the quick response of the school staff in gaining information and contacting the Harper Woods Police Department.
