Crime: Assault with a Deadly Weapon/Penal Code 245

Location: 2971 N. Main Street

On 9/4/10 at approximately 5:06 pm, Walnut Creek PD received numerous 911 calls of 8-9 subjects fighting with bats and sticks near Wendy’s on N. Main Street. Arriving officers found several injured subjects who were involved in the fight. Three additional subjects with injuries were located nearby on Roxanne Court. The initial investigation was slowed due to the fact that none of the involved parties spoke English and a third party translator was used to provide information to dispatchers. The investigation revealed 8-9 subjects were involved in mutual combat with brass knuckles, fence posts and baseball bats. Several of the involved subjects received moderate head wounds and other injuries. The injured subjects all sought medical treatment on their own at local hospitals. It is believed all of the subjects were relatives or worked together at a nearby business. All of the involved parties refused to press charges against each other and no arrests were made at the scene.
