Operation Greedy Grove
Operation “Greedy Grove” is a joint investigation led by the Dallas Police Department in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, with assistance from the United States Marshals’ Office, Fort Worth Police Department and Dallas Sheriffs Office. The investigation targeted narcotic trafficking by violent armed CRIP gang members in the Pleasant Grove and Highland Hills area of Dallas, Texas. Many of the targeted suspects are career criminals, with long histories of extremely violent and heinous offenses that include Aggravated Assaults on Dallas Police Officers.
Operation Greedy Grove primarily focused on the leadership of the organization that was supplying the drugs. The leaders of this organization supplied numerous individuals with large quantities of cocaine, MDMA ecstasy, and marijuana that were repackaged and sold in various drug houses throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Those arrested in Operation “Greedy Grove” were believed to have distributed large quantities of cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana since 2007.
On July 20, 2010, the investigation was presented to a Federal Grand Jury which resulted in two multi-count sealed indictments returned on the top six-teen (16) members of the organization for Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I and Schedule II Controlled Substance. Several members were charged with Federal Firearm law violations as well. In addition to the federal defendants, eight (8) state arrest warrants were granted charging individuals with Engaging in Organized Crime and Manufacturing/Delivery of Cocaine.
