Officers from the Chula Vista Police Department’s DUI Enforcement Team will be conducting a “Zero Tolerance” DUI Saturation Patrol on Thursday, September 2, 2010.

This Saturation Patrol is in a series of DUI enforcement operations aimed at increasing public awareness and decreasing the number of drivers who drive while under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. The DUI Saturation Patrol will be held within the City of Chula Vista.

Police officers will be targeting those who do not heed the message to designate a sober driver. The Chula Vista Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance throughout the year to Report Drunk Drivers – Call 9-1-1.

Funding for this operation was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration
