Suspect connected with burglaries in the Cities of Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks Arrested.
On 08-30-10 Detectives from the Malibu/Lost Hills Station executed a search warrant near the 18000 Block of Burbank Blvd., in Tarzana.
At the location, approximately 400 items of property, suspected to be stolen, were recovered. The items included 163 cell phones, two laptop computers, wallets, several gift cards and rare coins. Also found at the location were narcotics and narcotics paraphernalia. Several of the cell phones have already been traced to burglary victims from the cities of Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks.
At the location, detectives detained Mr. Neil J. Hefner a resident of the city of Tarzana. It is believed that Suspect Hefner committed several vehicle burglaries over the course of several months in the Los Angeles and Ventura County areas. He is currently on parole for narcotics. Suspect Hefner was arrested and his bail was set at $50,000.
