George Street Beautification Project, Expect Road Closures and Traffic Delays in the Downtown Area starting 8-31-201 
The following George Street Beautification Project - Phase II traffic changes will commence on Tuesday, August 31, 2010.
The George Street intersection at Paterson Street will be closed from 7:00am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Paterson Street will be closed to "Thru-Traffic" from Spring Street to George Street. Paterson Street "Local Traffic Only" will be permitted to utilize the street in both directions (two-way traffic) while access to George Street is closed. This closure will be in effect from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Paterson Street will return to a one-way street after 3:30pm.
Paterson Street from George Street to Neilson Street will be changed from "one-way" to "two-way" traffic during the Paterson St./George St. intersection closure, permitting access to loading zones. This closure will be in effect from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday. Paterson Street will return to a one-way street after 3:30pm.
George Street will be closed from Bayard Street to Albany Street. Traffic accessing George Street from Albany Street will be detoured to Neilson Street.
Bayard Street and the George Street intersection at Bayard Street will be reopened to normal traffic patterns.
The above closures will remain in effect until further notice.
