HARPER WOODS POLICE HAVE ARRESTED A SUSPECT FOR NUMEROUS LARCENIES FROM VEHICLES. SUSPECT INFO / PHOTO ATTACHED
At 1:05 am Saturday morning, Harper Woods Police Officers responded to the area of the 20200 block of Roscommon on a report of a man trying to steal a white jeep from a driveway. Officers spoke with a resident who pointed out his neighbor’s vehicle parked in the driveway and gave a description of a man who entered the jeep and then left the area.
Sergeant Jason Hammerle located the suspect walking down the street and he was detained by the Sergeant and Officer Kevin Kowalik.
Officers discovered electronic devices that were stolen from the jeep, narcotics, and narcotic paraphernalia on the suspect. He was taken into custody and was held without bond on several felony charges.
SUSPECT: KALVIN EARL TURNER B/M, 19 YRS, RESIDING ON MOROSS STREET IN DETROIT.
Turner was arraigned in 32A District Court this afternoon in front of Judge LaRose on Larceny and Narcotic related charges. Turner was placed on a $5000.00 cash bond. Detectives are investigating 6 - 10 other recent Larceny from Automobiles that Turner may be involved in.
