Update: Missing child found safe 
July 10, 2010 (MINNEAPOLIS) This evening the Minneapolis Police Department is pleased to announced that Jevonte Victor has been located safe. At approximately 9:00 pm our 911 center received a call from a relative stating that Jevonte had arrived at their home on the north side of Minneapolis. Investigators from the Minneapolis Police Department responded to the address to take custody of him. Jevonte will be medically evaluated and then investigators will look into the circumstances surrounding Jevonte leaving home. It is believed that Jevonte left home of his own volition.
The Minneapolis Police Department would like to thank the Twin Cities media, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department Dive Team, the Minneapolis Park Police Department, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Team Adam and the Minneapolis Fire Department for their assistance in this lengthy investigation.
