PRESS RELEASE #1
WCPD Case Number: 10-21359
Crime: Burglary, PC 459
Location: 245 El Divisadero Ave., Walnut Creek (Berean Christian School)
Date/Time: 8/7/10 @ 2130 hours
Suspects:
Male Juvenile, age 17 from Concord.
Male Juvenile, age 15 from Concord.

Narrative:
On 8/7/10 at approximately 2130 hours, WCPD Dispatch received a call of an alarm activation at Berean Christian School. Officers arrived a few minutes later and saw subjects inside the school office with flashlights. When the subjects saw the officers, they ran and a short pursuit through a residential neighborhood ensued. One subject was caught and taken into custody without incident. The second subject (17 year old) resisted arrest and had to be subdued with a Taser. He was transported to the hospital for medical clearance and found to have no injuries. Both subjects were juveniles and were arrested for burglary. Officers and school officials are still trying to determine what the loss, if any, was.

Date/Time: 8/8/10 @ 1350 hours
Suspect: Muhammad Akmed Magbool (See Attached Photo)
Black male adult, 5’9”, 185 pounds, bro eyes, blk hair
Date of birth 1/22/83
Resident of Oakland

Narrative:
On 8/8/10 at approximately 1345 hours, Walnut Creek Police received a report of a woman that was confronted by a male subject in the underground parking garage of Barnes and Noble. The male subject followed the woman from her car to a stairwell where he proceeded to expose himself to her. She fled the area and called police. As officers were arriving the victim spotted the subject on Main Street near Mt. Diablo. Officers chased the subject on foot to a parking garage at Duncan and Broadway. Officers surrounded the garage and found the subject on the top floor. The subject was taken into custody by officers and a Police K9 as he tried to flee down a stairwell.

The subject was identified as Muhammad Magbool. Magbool was charged with indecent exposure, resisting arrest and providing false information to officers. He also had a parole violation warrant for his arrest. Magbool was transported to Martinez County Jail. In addition to being on parole for robbery Magbool has a significant criminal history.
