Press Release- August 6, 2010

A 33 year-old Fond du Lac man and a 19 year-old Waupun woman were arrested by the North Fond du Lac Police Department early Tuesday morning for Disorderly Conduct. Andre Miller, 33, and Jennifer Moede, 19, later posted bond and were released from custody.

Shortly before 12:30 am, North Fond du Lac Police officers were dispatched to the Pioneer Motel for a report that Moede was being held against her will by her boyfriend. According to the complainant, the boyfriend was claiming to possess a gun. Waupun Police officers were able to speak with Miller on the telephone and he also told them that he had a gun.

As officers arrived on scene, a vehicle left the parking lot being driven by Moede and Miller was a passenger in the car. Officers stopped the vehicle on N. Pioneer Road just south of the motel. Moede and Miller surrendered to police and were detained while the vehicle was searched. No gun was found in the vehicle or in Miller's possession.

During questioning, Moede told police that her sister and Miller do not like one another. She said that she called her sister earlier in the evening and told her that Miller had jumped her and taken the keys and she needed a ride home. Moede said that she and Miller had come up with the idea to mess with her sister. When police determined that the story had been fabricated, both Miller and Moede were arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail.

Officers from the Fond du Lac Police Department and the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene
