Car vs Pedestrian - Serious Injury Crash

News Release - October 10th, 2009 @ 4:30 am

Pinellas Park Police

On Saturday, October 10, 2009, just prior to 2:00 am, a patrol officer pulled up to a car versus pedestrian crash that had just occurred.

Early indications are that the pedestrian was crossing Park Boulevard at 56th Street when he was struck by an eastbound 2007 Toyota car. The pedestrian was southbound.

The driver of the car, Truc Trung Ho, 24 of St. Petersburg, stopped immediately. The pedestrian, an unidentified adult male, was seriously injured and taken by ambulance to Bayfront Medical Center with multiple, life threatening injuries.

Due the the serious nature of the crash, the Traffic Homicide Unit was activiated to respond and conduct the investigation, including a determination on whether or not either party was impaired at the time of the crash.

The investigation is continuing and no charges will be considered until said investigation is complete.
