2010 AMERICA’S NATIONAL NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME TO BE HELD ON

On Tuesday, August 3, 2010, citizens throughout Kalamazoo are invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for National Night Out 2010: America’s Night Out Against Crime.
This year celebrates the 27th Annual National Night Out event. On this occasion, residents in neighborhoods throughout Kalamazoo and across the nation are asked to promote police-community partnerships; crime, drug and violence prevention; safety, and neighborhood unity. Many neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts, and youth activities.
Events in the City of Kalamazoo will be hosted by the following neighborhoods.
EASTSIDE - Rockwell Park, 1000 Trimble 5-8 pm
EDISON- 816 Washington, Edison Neighborhood Association 6-8 pm
FAIRMONT – Old Public Safety Station 5 at 619 Douglas 6:30-8:30 pm
MILWOOD- Greenwood Reformed Church, 1815 Winton 6-8:30 pm
NORTHSIDE – NACD 612 N. Park Street from 6-9 pm
OAKWOOD – Kalamazoo Public Safety Station 7 on Parkview 5-9 pm
STUART- W. Main Park at the corner of Elm and W. Main from 6-9 pm
VINE - Vine St. at Locust in front of O’Duffy’s from 5-9 pm
WESTWOOD- 900 Stafford (corner of Stafford/Canterbury) from 6-8 pm
PARKVIEW HILLS – Parkview Hills Club House from 7-9 pm
National Night Out is an enjoyable way to promote neighborhood spirit. On August 3, 2010, we invite citizens to celebrate with us and their fellow neighbors.
