Heat advisory issued: Heat indexes can reach above 100. Take precautions if outside & check on the elderly and young. 
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory until 8:00 pm this evening. Temperatures near 90 degrees and rising humidity will push the heat index near 100 degrees. If possible stay in an air-conditioned room and out of the sun. If you need to be outside, take all necessary precautions and drink plenty of water. Check on the elderly and children for signs of heat illness and check vehicles to ensure animals and children have been removed.
