North Fond du Lac Police Benevolent Association 11th Annual Golf Shoot-Out

The North Fond du Lac Police Benevolent Association is pleased to announce the upcoming 11th Annual Golf Shoot-Out. The tournament will be held on Friday, August 13th, 2010. The four-person team scramble will be played at Rolling Meadows Golf Course. Golfers will tee off in a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. Following golf, there will be a steak fry and awards banquet at the golf course. Guests can register to attend the steak fry and banquet even if they don't golf. Registration is now open and golfers are encouraged to make plans to attend.

The principle purpose of this Benevolent Association is to enhance the general welfare of the community and to promote the continuing growth and overall health of the community. In the past nine years, thousands of dollars have raised and used to help support a variety of causes such as:

* Scholarships for graduating seniors

* A summer camp for area youth called Camp Oneota

* Free swim lessons for children

* Decorative banners for Village light poles

* Hurricane Katrina relief

* Senior prom post party

* Assistance to a two year-old Oakfield boy with Lissencephaly

* Starlight Starbright Foundation for seriously ill children

* Development of a library for the Early Learning Center

* The Department’s K-9 Unit

A portion of the proceeds from this year’s event will again be used to provide college scholarships for graduating seniors. Additionally, the Police Benevolent Association will be donating funds to help with some projects to update our local parks and athletic fields. The Police Benevolent Association is excited about this opportunity to help provide safe, fun and healthy activities for the kids of our community!

The cost is just $75 per golfer and includes 18 holes of golf with cart, a steak fry dinner, door prizes, and raffles. The cost for the banquet alone is only $25.

The success of the Annual Golf Shoot-Out is dependant upon the generous support of area businesses and individuals. There are four levels of sponsorship. Corporate Sponsors donate a minimum of $500 cash or prize equivalent. Event Sponsors donate a minimum of $250 cash or prize equivalent. Hole Sponsors donate a minimum of $100 cash or prize equivalent, and Contributors include all other donations. Through these donations, the Police Benevolent Association is able to award many door prizes, and conduct raffles to raise additional proceeds.
