An alert motorist contacted the Harper Woods Police Department reporting two suspicious subjects on foot in the Eastland Mall parking lot today at 3PM. Officers surrounded the area and were able able to see both subjects forcing entry into a vehicle parked in the lot. Both juvenile suspects were apprehended following a brief foot chase and are now being held at the Wayne County Youth Home pending further court action. The investigation into this incident is on-going.

The witness in this incident did an outstanding service to this Community. Anyone observing actions that appear suspicious, regardless of the time of day or location, are encouraged to contact their local police department immediately.
