Carlotta Kutschenreuter has been charged with murder in the death of her husband, Joel, according to Sheriff Entrekin

HOMICIDE SUSPECT CHARGED
One individual has been charged in the death of a Ball Play man, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.
“47 year-old Carlotta Susann Kutschenreuter has been charged with one count of murder, which is a felony,” states Investigator Josh Morgan.
Etowah County Sheriff’s Office investigators conducted a death investigation yesterday at 148 Clay Drive, Hokes Bluff, after a 9-1-1 call was received at approximately 5:40 a.m. The couple’s son made the call.
53 year-old Joel David Kutschenreuter was found dead inside the home when Hokes Bluff Police Officer Richard Garmon arrived on scene.
It appears he had been shot three times while lying in bed. Joel’s body was sent to Huntsville for an autopsy.
Carlotta is currently being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on $100,000 cash bond.
