The Garland County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by Pharmacy Technicians Jackie Ashcraft and Linda Black from Super D Pharmacy on Hidgon Ferry Road and volunteers Jessie Jester from Garland County Cares and Chuck Hanna from Project HOPE, conducted its first Prescription Take Back program on Sunday, July 18th.



The response to the program went beyond our expectations with approximately 300 people turning in an estimated 105,000 - 120,000 pills, during the 5 hour event. Though the count is still going on, our Deputies and Pharmacy Technicians have counted approximately 60,000 pills and have made it through about half of the medications. Once a final count is achieved, we will update you with the exact number.
