Carjacking - On Sunday, July 18, 2010 at approximately 4:06pm 
On Sunday, July 18, 2010 at approximately 4:06pm, Grosse Pointe Woods Public Safety Officers were dispatched to the 19000 block of Mack Avenue on a report of a carjacking just occurred.
Suspect: Black Male armed with a handgun. Victim had just exited a store on Mack Avenue. Upon entering her vehicle, the suspect dove thru an open front passenger window and ordered the driver out of the vehicle.
The suspect fled south on Mack Avenue towards Moross, from there unknown.
The victim of the carjacking was not injured.
Vehicle taken: 2007 Black Jeep Commander. The vehicle plate was recovered 2 hrs after the incident in another City.
The investigation into the incident is continuing.
