DUI and possession charges

On July 14th, 2010 at 9:35 PM police responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Route 523 and Old Farm Rd. Herbert Milan 3rd of Flemington, NJ had veered off the road and struck a utility pole, completely severing the pole at the bottom. Mr. Milan showed evidence of intoxication and sobriety tests were conducted. Milan was arrested for driving under the influence and his vehicle was towed from the scene. He was charged with DUI and careless driving and released to a family member. The investigation was conducted by Sgt. DeWire and Ptl. Mackiewicz.

On July 17, 2010 at 1:48 AM police stopped James Anderson II of Harvest, Alabama on Route 22 near County Line Road for having an obstructed and illegible license plate. Sgt. DeWire smelled suspect marijuana in the vehicle and when he attempted to have the occupants exit the vehicle, Robert Jones of Mammoth Lakes, California refused. He was then arrested for obstructing justice however he resisted arrest by force. He was sprayed with OC spray and taken into custody after a brief scuffle. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 56 grams of suspected marijuana. Todd Jones of Hedgesville, WV was arrested charged with possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released after being served his complaint. Robert Jones was charged with resisting arrest, obstructing justice, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Hunterdon County Jail in default of $10,000 bail. Mr Anderson received a summons for having an obstructed license plate.
