The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of North and Central Georgia this afternoon and evening until 7pm EDT. Storms are likely across the Metro and North Georgia areas this afternoon possibly becoming severe containing damaging winds, frequent lightening, and some hail.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means that severe weather may occur within or around the watch area at any time. You should remain aware of the conditions outside and monitor local news media and/or NOAA weather radio for latest updates and possible warnings should severe weather occur.
