Please be aware that several unauthorized curb painters are attempting to solicit business door-to-door in Hercules. Some may post a flyer to your door asking permission to paint your street number on your door while others may attempt to collect money for the service after they have already completed the task. Both of these types of solicitations are not authorized by the City of Hercules. Please do not give them money. If you are contacted by an unauthorized solicitor, please call the Hercules Police Dispatch at 510-724-1111.

The only group authorized to paint street numbers on curbs is the Hercules Explorers. This is a free service to residents, although donations are accepted.
