On July 8th at approximately 2:30 PM, the Readington Township Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Bank of America on US Rt. 22. The entire available staff of the Police Department was actively involved in coordinating or searching for the suspect.

We apologize to our Nixle subscribers for not sending an alert. We will work to better this in the future.

For those concerned, it is the belief of the responding law enforcement agencies that the suspect fled the area soon after the event and is not a current threat to anyone in the area.
