Garland County Sheriff's Department road crews will be covering the west end of the county next week. Be mindful!
During the week of July 6th - 9th, Sheriff's Department litter crews will be working Highway 270 west as well as the North and South Pearcy Road areas.
Please be mindful of them when traveling in those areas by slowing to a safe speed when approaching and passing.
The 2 Sheriff's Department litter crews are projected to pick up approximately 100,000 pounds of trash and debris off of the county roads and highways this year.
Even with the two (2) crews and the amount of litter that is picked up, littering is still a major problem in Garland County and is not getting any better.
Please do your part in helping us keep the county clean and looking great by not throwing trash onto the roadways and by securing any loads that you may be hauling in your vehicle.
We would also like to remind you that it is a crime (up to a Class "B" Felony) to stop, harass, interfere with, or provide items to, those who are working on the road crew.
