Incident:Found Child – Parents Have Not Been Located
Location: Kentucky @ Oak St. in Petaluma
SUMMARY
On Sunday night at 10:30PM an approximate 2-year-old Hispanic girl was found wandering in the street at the above location. She was barefoot, wearing an orange tank top and pink skirt. As of this time the parents have not been located. Due to the child’s young age, very little information has been developed regarding her family or where she lives. For the last two hours, Petaluma officers have searched surrounding blocks, contacting residents in the area and distributing flyers with the girl’s photograph but no further information has been developed. We will continue this effort throughout the night.
We are asking the media to broadcast her photograph in the hopes her family can be located. We will immediately cancel this press release if the parents are located.
The child has indicated her first name may be “Yolanda” but this has not been confirmed. She also said her mother’s first name may be “Laura” but, again, due to the childs age communication is difficult and this has not been confirmed.
If anyone has information regarding this child or her family, please contact the Petaluma Police Department at 707-778-4372.
