Advisory

Wind Advisory in effect for Santa Barbara South County until midnight tonight.

A Wind Advisory remains in effect until midnight PDT tonight. Gusty winds are not expected in Montecito, however use caution when traveling to other destinations within the south county during this period.

* Timing: gusty northwest to north winds are expected to develope late this afternoon and persist through this evening. Winds should diminish after midnight.

* Winds: areas of northwest to north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to around 45 mph... with the strongest winds occurring through and below passes and canyons of the Santa Ynez range.

* Impacts:the gusty winds will likely impact travel along portions of highways 101 and 154... especially near Gaviota Pass to Refugio Beach late this afternoon and evening. Winds are not expected to shift to the northeast late this evening... therefore
gusty winds are not expected to occur at Montecito.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph or greater are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
