On June 16, 2010 detectives assigned to the Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET) arrested 44 year old Angela L. Johnson of Shelton, WA and 25 year old Matthew J. Leftwich of Port Angeles, WA.

The arrests were the result of an investigation into the sales of the prescription pain medication Oxycontin. An OPNET detective was introduced into a group of suspects that was responsible for selling Oxycontin in Clallam County.

On the afternoon of June 16, 2010 the undercover detective made a purchase of several Oxycontin pills from Johnson and Leftwich. Immediately following the sale Johnson and Leftwich were taken into custody without incident.

Johnson and Leftwich were subsequently booked into the Clallam County Correctional Facility on the charge of delivery of a controlled substance. The entire case file will be forwarded to the Clallam County Prosecutor’s Office for the formal filing of charges.
