Davie Police arrested a subject for attempted kidnapping and are attempting to locate other possible victims.

On 09/13/2009 at approximately 1430 hours officers were dispatched to SW 133rd Ave and 9th Ct. in reference to an Attempted Kidnapping. Officers met with a fourteen year old juvenile female who stated that she was standing along the canal at the 700 block of SW 130th Ave, when a Hispanic white male, later identified as Roberto Enrique Bonilla-Canizales of 420 SW 133 Terr, Davie, exited his vehicle, opened the passenger side door grabbed her wrists and attempted to drag her inside his white, Toyota pick-up truck, bearing FL Tag 931 KRN.

The Victim stated that she struggled with Bonilla Canizales until she could free herself and escape his grip. After the victim was able to break free, she fled on foot, as Bonilla-Canizalez entered his vehicle and began to follow her. The Victim ran to a friend`s house and made contact with an adult for assistance. The adult observed Bonilla-Canizales, and began to follow him, getting a description of the subject, his vehicle, and direction of travel. This information was communicated to the police, who responded to the residence that the tag was registered to. Officers were able to located Bonilla-Canizales, who was positively identified by the victim and other witnesses. Bonilla-Canizales was arrested, transported to Davie PD, then to BSO Jail.

Bonilla Canizales is described as:

5'2", 175 lbs, white Hispanic male, brown hair, brown eyes, wearing glasses, and a blue shirt.

Bonilla-Canizales was driving a White Toyota pick-up truck, Florida Tag 931KRN.
