On Tuesday 06-15-2010 approximately 9:39 am Sachse Officers were dispatched to the 6600 block of Murphy Road, Prosperity Bank, in reference to an armed robbery that had just occurred. The suspect entered the bank armed with a handgun and demanded money. The suspect left the bank on foot being followed, at a distance by a bank employee. The employee lost sight of the suspect but, gave the suspect’s direction of travel to officers. The Garland Police Department also responded to the area to assist with a police K-9 to track the suspect. Officers were able to track the suspect and apprehend him approximately two blocks away from the scene.

As of 4:15 pm Sachse Investigators and the Sachse C.E.R.T. (Citizens Emergency Response Team) are still in the area searching for evidence of the crime.
