The following information was provided in a Press Release that was forwarded to MFD by William Boyer, County Communications Director.

MONTECITO Residents, Specifically Take note of locations listed under SANTA BARBARA:

County-Wide Preventive Maintenance Application of Scrub Seal and Micro-Surfacing Project is scheduled to begin June 14, 2010.

The first application will be a scrub seal, which will fill any cracks or voids in the pavement, this will be followed up with the application of a micro surfacing being placed on top of the scrub seal. The project will begin in the northern section of the county with the project finishing up in the southern section of the county.

Construction is scheduled to begin June 14, 2010 and should be completed by mid August, 2010, contingent upon weather conditions. The County’s Public Work’s Department will administer and inspect the construction of this project.

Construction is Monday thru Friday between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The Department encourages the travelling public to be aware of reduced speed zones and traffic controls throughout the construction site.
