This morning at approximately 12:30 a.m. the Pinellas Park Police Department received a call from a citizen of a possible sinkhole forming in the center lane of northbound 66 St at 87 Av. N. Officers responded and found a pot hole forming that was approximately four foot in diameter x 2 foot deep. Florida Department of Transportation officials responded and placed signs and cones up to protect traffic from the damaged roadway. They determined that the hole was being caused by a collapsed sewer line. City of Pinellas Park Public Works crews were contacted and responded to make repairs.

Northbound 66 St at 87 Av. is reduced down to one lane and will remain so until the repair is made. Drivers in this area should expect traffic delays. Work crews anticipated that all lanes of travel will be restored by approximately 6:00pm this evening.
