Richard J. Pollack, 54

Raritan, NJ

On Friday, June 5, 2010 at 1200 hours, Cpl. Ferreiro stopped Pollack on State Route 202 and Old York Road for tailgating another vehicle. The Corporal detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage and subsequently arrested Pollack for DUI. He was charged with DUI and tailgating. He was released to a friend.



Mohamed z. Kassem, 26

Hillsborough, NJ

On Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 1500 hours, officers were dispatched to the Dunkin Donuts located on Route 22 East in Whitehouse for a fight in progress. Patrolman Medvetz investigated the incident and arrested Kassem after determining that he assaulted another employee inside the business. Kassem struck the victim after an argument between the two employees started after he failed to set the timer on a coffee machine. The assault and following investigation caused the business to close for several hours until the arrival of the Hunterdon County Department of Health. He was charged with simple assault and released with summonses to appear in municipal court.



Summer Road Park, Summer Road &

Readington Township Junior Baseball League, James Street

On Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 0730 hours, patrol officers discovered that the concession stands at the Summer Road Park and James Street ball fields were broken into. Forced entry was made to gain access to both buildings. Actors also attempted to gain access to a soda machine at the Summer Road Park but were not successful. Detectives Gooley and Hoofatt are investigating.



Haggan’s Auto and Tire

Route 202 North

Three Bridges, NJ

On Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 1324 hours, a gas station attendant at Haggan’s Auto and Tire reported that a vehicle fled the station without paying for $24 in gas. The responding officer located the operator of the vehicle in Summit, NJ and determined that the incident was a misunderstanding. Arrangements were made for the business to be paid in full.



Tommy Rivera, 26

Redbank, NJ 19601

On Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 1500 hours, Rivera was arrested by Patrolman Medvetz at headquarters. Rivera was wanted for failing to appear in municipal court and a $300.00 traffic warrant was issued. Rivera was released after posting bail.



On Monday, June 7, 2010 at 1147 hours, officers were dispatched to Bishop’s Thriftway on a report of heavily intoxicated female possibly in need of assistance at the business. Officers located a 53 year old female incapacitated due to alcohol abuse and unable to communicate. She was transported to HMC by 22 Rescue. A male companion was intoxicated and requested to admit himself into detox at HMC. He was driven to HMC by patrol
