Pinellas Park PD Press Release issued in apparent drowing death of 50 year old male.
On Sunday, June 6, 2010 at approximately 1:32am, Pinellas Park Police and Fire Department Paramedics responded to 7327 59th Street in regards to a possible drowning. The victim, Paul Burnett Hasler, age 50 was located at the bottom of the swimming pool by another resident.
Upon arrival of rescue personnel, Hasler was pulled unresponsive from the pool. Hasler appeared to be in the pool for a brief period of time. Pinellas Park FD Paramedics conducted CPR on Hasler and he was transported to Northside Hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 2:10am.
Alcohol may be a contributing factor to the incident. An official ruling on the cause of death will be determined by the Pinellas County Medical Examiner's Office. Autopsy and toxicology results are pending.
