NHSO Detectives Make Arrest in Church B&E

Detectives Make Arrest in Breaking and Entering and Vandalism of Local Church


Detectives with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office have made an arrest in the B&E and Vandalism of Ogden Baptist Church at 7121 Market Street. The church was broken into overnight on Friday May 28 and damages exceeded $250,000. Detectives have arrested Christopher Ryan Brown, a 33 year old white male, and charged him with B & E of a place of Worship-felony, two counts of Larceny-misdemeanor, and Damage to Real Property-misdemeanor. He is currently in the New Hanover County Detention Facility under a $500,000 secure bond. Addition charges may be pending further investigation. Sheriff McMahon stated “I am pleased the Detectives were able to resolve this contemptible case so quickly”.
