POLICE SEEK SUSPECTS IN ATTEMPTED KIDNAPPING 
HOLLISTER, CALIFORNIA – May 28, 2010 – The Hollister Police Department is looking for two men who tried to pull a teenaged girl into their vehicle on San Juan Road early Wednesday evening.
At about 7:00 p.m. on May 26, 2010, a black, older model Volkswagen Bug drove up to a 17-year-old girl walking in the 1300-1500 block of San Juan Road near the Plaza 156 gas station.The car pulled up next to the victim after its occupants whistled at the girl to get her attention.The passenger in the front seat opened his door and grabbed the girl’s arm, pulling her toward the car. The girl was able to pull out of the man’s grasp and run away. The men did not pursue her.
The VW Bug is described as having fading black paint, large rust spots, and a loud engine. The passenger was described as a Spanish-speaking Hispanic male, approximately forty years of age. He wore a black hooded jacket and sunglasses. The driver of the VW was only described as a Hispanic male, also about forty years old.
